Jim McCarty and Chris Dreja original members of The Yardbirds reformed the group in the early 90’s. This record was originally released on CD in 2003. This vinyl edition came out in 2016. It has re-recordings of old Yardbirds hits and some new songs. Eight of the tracks feature guest guitarists including Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Slash, Brian May and others. A good record with some good guitar work by the guests. Many of their best songs are here like “For Your Love”, “Train Kept A Rolling”, “Shapes Of Things”, “Over Under Sideways Down”, and “Happenings Ten Years Time Ago”. The newer songs are good too. I like “Dream Within A Dream” with words by Edgar Allan Poe and “An Original Man (Song For Keith)” written for singer and harmonica player Keith Relf who was electrocuted in 1976 while playing his guitar plugged into a faulty amp. A double album with a gatefold cover with lyrics and liner notes inside. Sounds good.
