This is one I remember buying at the record store off Cottman Ave. near the Roosevelt Mall when I was living in Philly in the early 90’s. It’s some kind of compilation album, looks almost like a bootleg. I can’t even find it listed in my Great Rock Discography which has a pretty extensive listing of releases of the artist that are in it. According to Discogs it’s from Switzerland from 1982 on the Astan label. Although the picture on the cover shows Jimmy Page he was the last guitarist in the band after Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck. These songs are all from 1965 and 1966 before Jimmy joined the band. Most of the songs on side one feature singer Keith Relf’s harmonica. “Five Long Years” and “Pretty Girl” are from their live album. The better songs are on side two. “Still I’m Sad” has always been one of my favorite Yardbirds songs while “For Your Love” and “I’m A Man” were two of their biggest hits. “Jeff’s Blues” is an instrumental. Obviously Jeff Beck plays on that one. A used one when I bought it, it sounds pretty good.
