Gary Wright-The Dream Weaver

Original

The third solo album from this New Jersey native who spent the early 70’s in England as a member of the band Spooky Tooth. He released two albums in ’70 and ’71 while still a member of the band. This is his best selling album released in 1975 around the time I bought it. The record is all keyboards with drums by two session drummer and guitar by Ronnie Montrose on one song. “Dream Weaver” was a big hit and “Love Is Alive” was another song heard on the radio. Other songs I liked were “Can’t Find The Judge”, “Blind Feeling”, and “Much Higher”. The rest are ballad types I never liked much. I sold the record at one point and later bought one far a dollar. The record and cover are in good shape. Will probably sell this one also. Gary Wright was the second act of the Frampton/Yes show at JFK stadium in 1976. He played most of the songs from this record. Wright died last year from Parkinson’s disease and dementia.
