This is Brian Wilson’s re-imagining of the Beach Boys legendary unreleased album Smile that was written by Brian and lyricist Van Dyke Parks and abandoned in 1967. Later that year some of the songs from Smile appeared on their album Smiley Smile. This album included “Good Vibrations” one of the most loved songs of the 60’s. That song plus “Heros And Villains” I knew and also “Surf’s Up” which appeared on their ’71 album of the same name. The songs are arranged in three suites on each of the three sides. The fourth side has instrumental versions of four tracks. Some orchestration making it sound like E.L.O. in some spots. Played this a few times never really cared for it much. One to sell.
