I was never a big fan of The White Stripes but I must admit the only songs I knew of theirs were what was played on the radio. This is a collection of acoustic songs recorded between 1998 and 2016 when it was released. It’s a two record set with a gatefold cover of very heavy cardboard. It comes with a 20 page album sized booklet with lyrics and liner notes. The first record has White Stripe songs, some album cuts others acoustic remixes. There is a song from the Cold Mountain soundtrack on side one. These songs are performed by Jack and his wife Meg who he divorced in 2000. In an unusual move Jack took his wifes name. Record two has acoustic versions of Raconteurs songs and some acoustic versions and remixes of his solo work. With 26 songs on the record they range from Folk to Bluegrass to Blues. I like side three the best. Many people on Discogs complain about a bad pressing but for once mine sounds pretty good.
