The ninth album by Kurt Vile and his band The Violators. Recorded at his home studio in Mt. Airy in Philly it’s a true two record set at nearly 74 minutes. I’ve listened to side one a couple of times and really liked “Like Exploding Stars”, which has some psychedelic style guitar and some sax. Lots of others tracks I like on the other three sides too. He covers Springsteen’s “Wages Of Sin” on side four. This came out in 2022 and he has since put out another recording. I might check it out as I like what I heard on the four records I have. A few years ago he made a record with Courtney Barnette whose monotone singing is not unlike Vile’s.
