Uriah Heep-Look At Yourself

Original

Their third album from 1971 with their third drummer. I didn’t buy this one until ’74 or ’75. With the die cut cover and the sheet of silvery cardboard inside the cover. Another good Hard Rock and Progressive music. The title track has members of Osibisa adding some percussion. Manfred Mann plays the organ on the closing section of “July Morning. “Tears In My Eyes” and “Love Machine” are great Rockers. “Shadows Of Grief” is more Progressive with David Bryon showing he is one of the great singers of this genre. Ken Hensley calls the song “frantic” in his liner notes and it’s a good description. Once I took the record out of the sleeve and looked at it it had many scratches and smudges on it. Upon playing it it didn’t sound bad at all. Again many of the records I bought in the 70’s and have played multiple times sound better than new ones I have bought recently.
