U2-Boy

This is the first album from U2. Released in the U.K. and Europe in 1980 It d0idn’t come out in the U.S. until the following year. As soon as I heard “I Will Follow” on the radio I knew I had to buy the record which I did sometime in 1981. Another one I remember playing in Havre de Grace where I moved to in April of that year. Really love side one which starts with “I Will Follow” followed by “Twilight”. The next three songs “An Cat Dubh”, “Into The Heart” a, and “Out Of Control” all run together. Edge’s guitar playing sounded a bit different with some of the effects he added. Side two when I played it today was not to familiar to me with the exception of “Stories For Boys” and “The Electric Company”. The U.S. release has a different cover than the international one. The record sleeve has the boy picture on one side, the original cover and lyrics on the other side. He was also pictured on their War album.
