Tranquility-Tranquility

Original

Tranquility was an English band who put out their first album in 1972. This is another one of my earliest records. I think this was a discount record I probably paid about two or three dollars for it. Never heard of the band but I guess I liked the cover. The music is Folk and Rock with three part harmony singing. The first two songs “Try Again” and “Ride Upon The Sun” sound like Crosby, Stills and Nash. “Where You Are(Where I Belong)”, my favorite on the record, sounds like Capeability Brown, another English band that also released their first record in 1972. The vocal harmonies sound exactly the same and I always think I’m listening to them when I play this song. “Oyster Catcher” on side two is another one I liked. “Black Currant Betty” sounds like a Beatles song with the harmonizing sounding like John, Paul, George and Ringo making it sound like something from The White Album. The last song “Saying Goodbye” has a false ending like Zeppelins “Thank You or The Beatles “Helter Skelter. The cover and record are not in the best shape but no skips.
