In the late 70’s some session musicians decided to form their own band. This is their first album from 1978. “Hold The Line” was a big hit and it’s the best on the record. Most of the songs are what you would call Pop. Side two is the better side with “Hold The Line” and two more rocking songs “Girl Goodbye” and “Takin’ It Back”. The last song “Angela” is not too bad. Someone in the apartment I shared with three or four other people back then had this on a cassette. I remember playing it on the portable cassette player I had in the bedroom when I was there with the waitress I was engaged to. I never liked it much but she did. After about five months when we were starting to buy some things for an apartment she told her parents who flipped out. They told her they wanted her to marry an Italian and would not speak to her if she didn’t. Needless to say that was the end of the engagement. She was 18, I was 21. Haven’t heard this recording since then. Saw it in a store for $2 about three years ago. Still don’t like it much. one for the reject pile. They had a few more hits after this and are still active today with two original members still in the band.
