Richard Thompson-Daring Adventures

This is from 1986 and one of several of his releases I had on cassette. Probably my favorite this was recorded in the U.S. with Mitchell Fromm producing and playing keyboards with Jerry Scheff who I fitsr came across playing bass on The Doors L.A. Woman. All the songs are pretty good with Thompsons low singing voice and his hybrid style of finger and pick playing. Some of the better songs are “Valerie”, “Jennie”, “Long Dead Love” and “Al Bowlley’s In Heaven”. “How Will I Ever Be Simple Again” sounds most like a traditional folk song. Bought this at the Ephrata store for $8 about ten years ago. Cover and record are in very good shape.
