Richard Thompson was a founder of Fairport Convention but left in 1971. He then put out albums with his wife Linda. This is their last record together. They were in the process of a divorce when this record was released in 1982. This is a 2018 reissue on Hannibal Records. Praised by many as one of their best records, it sounds Ok to me but I have not heard any of their others. Thompson is a good guitarist and sings in a low voice. I have a live version of “Walking On A Wire” from a 3 CD compilation I have with Richard singing, on this version Linda takes the lead. Other good songs are “Shoot Out The Lights”, “Back nStreetv Slide”, and “Wall Of Death”.
