Tears For Fears-Songs From The Big Chair

The second album from this English duo bought new in 1985. “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” was another video shown on MTV a lot then. Boston had its own video music station V-66 and I would go between the two watching videos and taping the ones I liked on my VCR. I probably had about a hundred or so but I threw out all my VCR tapes about twenty years ago except for my Live Aid tape which Tears For Fears were scheduled to appear but for some reason couldn’t make it. “Shout” is another good song on the album as is “Broken/Head Over Heels”. A couple songs have some decent guitar solos by guest musicians and Mel Collins plays sax on “The Working Hour”. “Listen” has some nice synth sounds. The record is very 80’s sounding but I Like it. Bought the next album Sowing The seeds. Didn’t like it as much. It was sold.
