The Teardrop Explodes-Kilimanjaro

The first album after a couple of singles from this band from Liverpool, released in 1980. Singer, bass player and co-writer Julian Cope left the band after an unfinished third album to go solo in 1984. This U.S. version replaces two songs with the early single “Reward” and “Suffocate” and has a different running order than the U.K. release. The music is retro psychedelic and Pop, similar to Liverpool contemporaries Echo and The Bunnymen. A trumpet is heard on a couple of the tracks. A good used record I bought recently. The cover and record are in good shape.
