Talk Talk-It’s My Life

This is this English band’s second album from 1984. I bought this one used about 25 years ago. “Dum Dum Girls” was heard on the radio but it was the title track that led me to buy this record. “It’s My Life” is a really good song I love the opening. i remember watching the video, when I was living in Hull. with the shots of the animals. The music is different than their next two albums that I bought when they came out. This has a more a typical 80’s synth band sound than their later records. Mark Hollis has a rather distinctive voice that separates them from other bands. Paul Webb and Lee Hariss add the bass and drums. Tim Friese-Green plays keyboards and co-writes some of their songs but is not an official member of the band. Other than those two songs the rest of the record is just OK. Haven’t listened to it much.
