A cool band from the U.S., kind of a supergroup with members of Cobra Verde, Dinosaur Jr., and Witch. J. Mascis has been involved in all those bands. Dave Sweetapple was in Witch and John Petkovic and Tim Parnin were in Cobra Verde. Bought in 2017 when it came out. Looks like their third release. Might have played side one when I bought it but I don’t remember. It’s a great mix of some Heavy Metal riffs, Power Pop and Garage Rock. J. Mascis plays guitar on three tracks otherwise he plays drums as he did in the band Witch. This is a limited edition on kind of an orange colored semi-transparent vinyl. Had a bit of trouble playing this one. Although I do a dry cleaning on my records before playing them the needle kept picking up dust or some kind of residue causing the tone arm to skate across the record. I will have to investigate this further. The cover photo is called self portrait with cigarette. I thought it was Hunter. I will also be on the lookout for their two earlier releases. The cover of the first Love And Desperation looks to be a copy or tribute to Roxy Music’s Country Life album cover.
