Back to a more subdued Indie sound after the last records return to Punk. This limited edition release from 2022 is on green swirled vinyl. There is a deep scratch on the first song on side one causing a loud pop for about a minute and a half. Should have returned it but that’s not something I normally do. Laura Ballance just plays bass ,most of the vocals are by co-founder Mac McCaughan with guests like Sharon Van Etten. Laura Ballance suffers from a hearing malady and has not toured with the band since 2013. Played side one a couple of times. Thought “Highly Suspect” was the best. “Endless Summer” is pretty catchy and is about global warming.(Yawn) “This Night” sounded best on side two. They all sound Ok. I’ll have to spin this one again to get a better impression. Long time drummer Jon Wurster left the band earlier this year.
