This 1973 release is one I bought around that time. Probably from one of the record clubs I was in then. “The Hurt” was a minor hit Heard on AM radio. I really like “Foreigner Suite” which takes up all of side one. Three or four songs or parts of songs strung together with instrumental breaks between. The instrumentation is mostly piano, keyboards and synthesizers played by Cat Stevens. Some sections add some strings and brass. I especially like the “Love on a Sunday” part. A case could be made for calling this a Progressive work. In my opinion one of his best compositions and on my playlist. Unfortunately the record is in bad shape. Very scratchy sounding, the embossed cover has some stains on it. It came with a postcard and record sleeve with lyrics but they are long gone. I’ll have to trash this one but should be fairly easy to find a good used one.
