This is one I probably bought after May 2001 because that is when I made my Best of Stereolab tape and since there are no songs from this record on it, I must have bought it after that. This two record gatefold cover was released in 1999, this is the U.K. import on the bands own Duophonic label. Most likely a used record, I don’t remember. It’s their usual blend of Experimental,Jazz,Post Rock and Pop with the lovely voices of Laetitia Sadier and Mary Hansen. Again, there is a side long track,”Blue Milk”, with some vocals and abrupt changes of direction of the jams in between. A couple songs are in French, I tried to translate them but It’s been a long time since High School French, I probably know 1 in 5 words. Sadly, in 2002 Mary Hansen was killed when she was hit by a truck while riding a bicycle in London. I would put this album slightly behind the other three I’ve listened to but still an enjoyable listening experience.
