Album number five from Becker and Fagen. I had their third Pretzel Logic but didn’t like it as much as their first two. Sold it. I never bought Katy Lied. I heard the title track on the radio before the record was released and recorded it. Bought the record as soon as it was in the store. Another great album with some Funk elements in “The Fez” and “Green Earrings”. “Kid Charlemagne” was released as a single but failed to make the Top 40. Love the guitar intro to “Don’t Take Me Alive” and the Talk Box guitar on “Haitian Divorce”. “The Royal Scam” is the first song from the album I really liked with its use of horns and kind of spacey arrangement. Another nearly 50 year old record that still sounds good.
