Steely Dan-Can’t Buy A Thrill

Original

Another one of my earliest records, this 1972 release was one I got from the Record Club of America another club I joined back then. Steely Dan’s first record and a great one as most of their records are. Steely Dan are Walter Becker and Donald Fagen who use session musicians as backing. “Do It Again “(love the organ solo in that one) and “Reelin’ In The Years” were top 40 hits and “Dirty Work” was also heard a lot on the radio. Every other song on the record is a favorite of mine, both sides are equally awesome. I’ve played the hell out of this record since buying it but haven’t put it on lately. Although a little scratchy sounding there are no skips, pops or other noise and the music sounds loud and clear. They don’t make them like they used to.
