This is one I bought in 1975 as soon as it was released. A highly acclaimed record, this album and the song “Born To Run” brought him national attention. Hard to say this is not his best album but I still like his second one just as much. This is the first appearance of Max Weinberg on drums and Roy Bitten on keyboards in The E Street Band. Pretty much every song on the album has been played on the radio. I guess I like side two the best opening with “Born To Run then “She’s The One”. I love the trumpet in “Meeting Across The River”, played by guest Randy Brecker, and Clarence Clemon’s sax solo on “Jungleland”. Bruce was signed to play at my high school in 1975. The posters were up in the hallways but as Born to Run became a huge success his manager decided Bruce wouldn’t be playing any high schools anymore so he pulled out of the deal.
