This is a 2014 two record set reissue on white vinyl of a 2008 release. The album title comes from time Jason Pierce spent in the Accident and Emergency Ward in a London hospital after a serious illness. The songs are all fairly short with not much of his sonic instrumentation. All of the twelve songs have lyrics as opposed to his earlier records I have which are mostly instrumental with some lyrics although there are six short instrumentals (all under one and a half minutes)titled “Harmony” 1 thru 6. I have listened to side one a few times and wasn’t too thrilled with it. I feel the same way after listening to the rest. I thought “Soul On Fire”, “Baby I’m Just A Fool”, and “Borrowed Your Gun” were the best but I should give this one a couple more listens before I decide whether to keep it or not.
