This was released in 1994 two years after Dirty the first Sonic Youth record I listened to. Although this has the single “Bull In The Heather”, one I’ve heard on the radio, this is probably my least favorite record by them. With 14 songs on a single album the songs are shorter with five under 3 minutes in length. “Winners Blues” is the first acoustic song on any of their records,the rest are basic Rock songs. There is still some of their Noise Rock but in smaller doses. “Sweet Shine” has a mellower sound but is somewhat spoiled by Kim Gordon screaming a couple of lines.
