Son Volt-Straightaways

When Alt-Country band Uncle Tupelo broke up Jay Farrar and Mike Heidorn formed Son Volt with Jeff Tweedy and the rest of the band forming Wilco. This is the second album from Son Volt from 1997 and this is a reissue released on the 20th anniversary. Keeping with the Alt-Country sound of Uncle Tupelo there are only a few songs that could be called Rock. “Caryatid Easy” is the best of those. The rest of the record is OK but nothing to get too excited about.
