Rush-A Show Of Hands

This live album from 1989 was recorded in England and the U.S. Another usedpromo only album I bought about five years ago and the first time listening to it. Quite a bit different from their 70’s music. With heavy use of synthesizers by Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson they sound a little like 80’s Genesis to me. The only song from trhe 70’s here is “Closer To The Heart”. There are some good songs here “Big Money”,”Subdivisions”,”Distant Early Warning”,”Force Ten”,and “Time Sand Still” with Aimee Man’s voice sampled in the chorus. I had their Power Windows and Hold Your Fire albums on vinly and everything else up to 2007’s Snakes and Arrows on cassette or CD. A band I would love to have seen live but never did. In 2020 Neil Peart ,one of Rock’s greatest drummers, died from brain cancer putting an end to the band.
