The Rolling Stones-Tokyo Dome 1990

The Last of my Rolling Stones records and the third of my live from the vault recordings. Recorded in February it was the last series of shows on the Steel Wheels tour an their first shows in Japan. Recorded in the middle of a ten night stand in Tokyo this is the best sounding recording of the three I have. The band sounds more polished than the previous vault recordings which might be expected after playing together for aroud 25 years at this point. They also have a lot of help with three background singers, two keyboard players,Bobby Keys on sax,and The Uptown Horns. They sound great even on some older songs like “Ruby Tuesday”,”Paint It Black” and “2000 Light Years From Home”. Five songs from Steel Wheels were played with Keith Richards taking the vocals on “Can’t Be Seen”. Also songs from their classic period that are concert favorites:”You Can’t Aways Get What You Want”,”Gimmie Shelter”,”Honky Tonk Woman” “Midnight Rambler”,”Brown Sugar”,”Tumbling Dice”,”Sympathy For The Devil”,and “Jumping Jack Flash”. This one is a four record set with the DVD of the sow included.
