Robert Randolph is a great Pedal Steel guitar player who played at the first Bonnaroo Festival. I’ve seen him at one of the festivals I’ve been to. This is a 2019 release with The Family Band that includes Marcus Randolph on drums and Lenesha Randolph on vocals. Not sure what the relations are. I would have to call this a Gospell record with songs like “Baptise Me”,”Have Mercy”,”I’m Living Off The Love You Gave”,and “I Need You” in that vein. “Cut Him Loose” and “Strange Train” are more rocking and show off his stel guitar playing. The record is on purple vinyl.
