Quicksilver Messenger Service-Anthology

A San Francisco band, contemporaries of Jefferson Airplane and The Grateful Dead. This is a used one I bought five years ago at the record store in Robesonia that lsater moved to Temple. It’s a two record set of songs from their first seven releases from ’67 to’71. The record was released in 1973 and contains two FM staples “Fresh Air” and “What About Me” with great vocals by Dino Valenti. “Mona” is from the live album Happy Trails written by Bo Diddley and “The Fool” has backing vocal by Ace Of Cups an all female band from San Francisco. “Edward The Mad Shirt Grinder” the great Nicky Hopkins song is from the Shady Grove album I will be listening tomorrow. There are two instrumentals “”Spindrift” and “Local Color”. The record sounds pretty good.
