This is one of the free records I got when I joined the Columbia House Record Club for the third time in 1980. “Dragon Attack” is the only real rocker on the record. The 50’s styled “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” is another good song. That song reached number one on the U.S. charts as did “Another One Bites The Dust” one of their worse songs. The rest of the songs on side one are not too bad. I remember putting on side two about 7 years ago thinking it was not too good and I still feel the same way after listening to it today. Their three or four records after this were also pretty bad. I had Innuendo on cassette, the last record they made before Freddie Mercury’s death,it had a couple good songs. After Mercury’s death Paul Rogers went on tour with them and made a record with them. It seemed an unlikely person to take Freddies place. They later had Adam Lambert as their lead singer. I saw them at the Spectrum in August of 1980. I went with my friend who had moved to lower Dealware. I was living in Wilmington and drove my unregistered ,uninsured car with my suspeded liscense down to pick her up,dropping her at her sisters house to spend the night and driving her back the next day. The crazy things you do when you’re young.
