This is his fifth album, from 1982, and the one that gave him natonal recognition.Really the first with his band The Recvolution as all the members play on this album. This is a used one I bought about 15 years ago when I was living in West Reading. On two records,side one has two of his best songs “1999” and “Little Red Corvette”. “Delirious” is a bouncy little number that ends the side. The rest of the album I don’t like,too much synthesizer and drum machine, giving them a Disco/Dance sound especially on “D.M.S.R.” and “Lady Cab Driver”. “Automatic” is not bad, as are the two ballads “Free” and “International Lover”.
