This is the 1985 concert at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse,New York that was released on VHS and broadcast live in Europe via sattelite. A DVD version was released in 2017. This three record box set on vinyl came out in June of 2022. It comes with a 16 page booklet of photos from the show and liner notes. With his band The Revolution(Wendy & Lisa,Dr.Fink,Bobby Z,and Brown Mark) plus guest stars Shelia E.,Apollonia and Eric Leeds on sax play everything from Purple Rain and hits from 1999 some B-sides a weird 8 minute thing caled “God” and a tribute to James Brown,”Possessed”.The James Brown Funk and Soul grooves are prominate throughout the concert along with sme nice solos by Prince. The best of this concert is the final song, an 19 minute “Purple Rain”. With a long intro and two Prince guitar solos with a cool spacey ending with what sounds like wind chimes. I saw Prince in 2004 at the Wachovia center. Since my wife was working at that bank at the time she had a chance to get tickets and VIP parking passes at a discount. This was his Musicollogy tour and every ticket holder was given a CD of the new release upon entering the building. Not with The Revolution but some band members I do remember were Bootsy Collins and Maceo Parker from James Browns band and Candy Dulfer playing sax. I do remember a couple of amazing solos by Prince.
