A really good album from these two singers. Cane out in 2007 when I was living in West Reading. A great collection of Bluegrass,Country,Pop,and Blues songs from a variety of writers like Gene Clark,Tom Waits,The Everly Brothers,and Mel Tillis picked by T-Bone Burnett who plays guitar throughout the album. Robert Plant sings the lead on a couple of songs including “Please Read The Letter” one of the best songs and co-written by Plant and Jimmy Page.Alisson Krauss has a great voice and plays fiddle on a few songs. Most of the tracks feature Double bass by Dennis Crouch and Mark Ribot plays some banjo and dobro. Won the album of the year in the 2008 Grammy Awards. I saw Robert Plant and Alisson Krauss at Merlefest,not together but seperatly and in different years. The last song on the record is a Gospell flavored song by Doc Watson whose son Merlefest is a tribute to .Doc’s son Merle died from a tragic accident.
