Pantera-Vulgar Display Of Power

A great record and easily their best. Actually their sixth album Pantera was formed in 1981 by the Abbott brothers Vinny Paul and Darrell. Singer Phil Anselmo joined in 1986. Great riffs and guitar by Dimebag Darrell ,who was going by Diamond at this time. I had this on cassette when it came out in 1992. This is a two record set with a heavy gatefold cover with inner sleeves that have photos and lyrics. A limited edition of 5000 from Record Store Day 2010. The six songs on the first record were on side one of the cassette and was what I listened to most. Side one of the album has “Mouth For War” and “A New Level” that goes right into the killer riff that begins “Walk” their most well known song. Side two has “Fucking Hostile”,”This Love” another favorite and “Rise”. Of the five songs on the second record “By Demons Be Driven” and “Hollow” were the ones I remember most from the cassette. Another record you have to crank up.
