New Barbarians-Wanted Dead Or Alive

This is a band led by Ron Wood and Keith Richards with Bobby Keys,Ian McLagan,Stanly Clarke, and Joseph Modeliste. They played two charity gigs in Canada as part of the plea deal for Richards arrest for possession of herion, then a short tour of the U.S. in May of 1979. This is a Barnes & Noble exclusive on black and white swirl vinyl that came out in 2016. The gatefold album also came with five postcard photos of the show. The playing is loose and sloppy and the vocals, mostly by Wood are pretty rough. To make matters worse the sound quality is not very good. This record has about half trhe show at M.S.G. They run through some old Rock and Roll and Blues songs like “Sweet Little Rock and Roller”,”Rock Me Baby”,Apartment Number 9″,and “Worried Life Blues”. The rest of the songs are from Ron Wood’s solo albums. The one I liked best was “Mystifies Me” a song from his first record. “Buried Alive” has a nice long jam at the end.
