Not sure when I bought this record. I know I had it in the early 80’s because I made a copy of the cover painting by Gail Collins using the grid method. I divided the cover into 1″ squares then copied it to 1 and a half in squares on some art paper. I then painted it with oil paint. I got the colors just right. It turned out really good. It got wet during one of our many moves back then and was ruined. Gail Collins was the wife of bassist Felix Pappalardi who was also in Cream. Felix and Gail wrote “Nantucket Sleighride” one of their signature songs. She shot and killed him in 1983. The four songs were recorded at three different venues. “Long Red” and “Waiting To Take You Away”” were recorded at Woodstock and “Crossroader” at The Rainbow. “Nantucket Sleighride” ,which takes up all of side two, was recorded at The Academy Of Music in 1971. That song has some great jamming and improvisation by guitarist Leslie West. A great recording of early 70’s Hard Rock.
