I am writing the blog from Vermont where I am on vacation with my wife celebrating our 40th anniversary. Although I have gone on several long weekends since starting this project I was able to double up on some days and keep it going.8 days was too long to do that so I took my secondary reciever and turntable ,two small speakers and eight records with me. This is a 2010 re-issue of his 1990 compilation album. This one has six bonus tracks not on the original release which I had on cassette as well as four of his later albums(all sold in 2013).This has many of his earliest singles like “Piccadilly Palare”.”Interesting Drug”,”The Last Of The Famous International Playboys”,”Suedehead”,and “Hairdresser On Fire”. The best of the bonus tracks is “Happy Lovers At Last United”.Ex Smiths members Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce play bass and drums on some of the tracks. He is an interesting character,I like his voice and his work with The Smiths. Hs solo work has that same lyrics of , sadness,loneliness,failed relationships,and dark humor.
