Ministry is Al Jourgensen, with various other people working with him, from Cihcago and is involved in the Industrial music scene. I went through a phase of listening to Indusrial music in the late 90’s early 2000’s and bought many cassettes and CD,s from bands ike Ministry,Front 242,KMFDM,Skinny Puppy, and Throbbing Gristle. This is his first record from 1982 and has nothing to do with Industrial music but is instead Synth Pop/Dance music. This is one I had on cassette and was re-issued on Music On Vinyl records. The first side is not to bad in fact “Effigy” is on my playlist. “Revenge” and “I Wanted To Tell Her” are also pretty catchy, but “Work For Love” sounds pretty Discoish. The only song I really like on side two is “Should Have Known Better”. Jourgensen plays almost all the instruments on this record with Stephen George playing drums with soe women addin backing vocals to a few songs.
