Mazzy Star-Among My Swan Posted on March 24, 2022 by David Meader Their third album from 1996. anoher great record of mellow ,stoned out psychedelic Folk. Just as good as their last record with David Roback’s guitar and organ and Hope Sandoval’s lazy hypnotic voice who also plays harmonica on a couple of racks. 12 songs at about 55 minutes again there is not a bad song on it. My favorites are the first three songs on the record “Disappear”,”Flowers In December”,”Rhymes Of An Hour” and “I’ve Been Let Down” on side two. “Look Down From The Bridge” was featured in several movies and TV shows. Unfortunately this 2010 reissue on Plain Recordings is a very bad pressing wth lots of pops and noise. Luckily I still have the CD. I will probably try to find another copy of this record.
