This is their first album from late 1993 and was recorded live at small clubs in their home state Virginia. This is another cassette I bought then having never heard of the band or what kind of music they play. The original cover had an autostereogram on it that I could never see. Supposidly it is a hand showing a peace sign. This first time on vinyl re-issue came out in 2014 and is a numbered gatefold two record set that comes with an 8 page album sized booklet with lyrics and photos. The first time I played the cassette back then I loved it especially “Ants Marching”,”Tripping Billies”,and “Satellite” all released as singles when the studio versions came out on later albums. “Recently” and “One Sweet World” are also very good. “I’ll Back You Up” and “Christmas Song” are acoustin performed with Tim Reynolds. “Christmas Song” has some ambient sounds of a thunderstorm and dripping water and crickets about 30 seconds after the song ends. “Minarets” and “Seek Up” were recorded in studio. I was very happy to see this on vinyl as all my cassettes were sold in 2013.
