Another realy good album from Mann’s Earth Band. This one is from 1978. The covers has one inch squares drawn on it that I used to copy it to a larger poster board using the grid method. I did four or five like that between 1979 and 1982. I think I colored that one with crayon. Others I painted. I don’t have any of them anymore. Once again only two of the seven songs were written by the group,the others covers only two of whose writers I knew. “Davy”s On The Road Again” written by Robbie Robertson and Dylan’s “The Mighty Quinn” that Manfred Mann has a hit with in 1968. Both are recorded live. “Drowning On Dry Land/Fish Soup” and “Chicago Institute”,the two group penned songs feture Dave Flett with some nice guitar solos. “Martha’s Madman”,”Circles”,and “California” written by people I have never heard of are all very good. One of their better albums,not a bad song on it.
