Low are a band from Duluth,Minnesota. Cosisting of Alan Sparhawk on guitar and vocals and his wife Mimi Parker on drums and vocals. They have had three or four bass players through their carrer which started in the early 90’s. I have four of their earlier CDs. Apparently the guy from Philly who bought nearly 900 of my CDs in 2013 didn’t like them. Their music has been called Slowcore because it is rather subdued ,usually slow with simple rhythms. The songs feature the harmony vocals of Alan and Mimi and on this record the songs are mostly acoustic. Not too well known with no hit singles but I always liked them. This 2013 release is one I bought for half price a couple of years ago at a record store in Temple. I never got around to listening to this one before. Side two has the most uptempo song “Just Make It Stop” while “On My Own” has some electric guitar.
