Loggins And Messina-On Stage

Original

Since my friend had the Sittin’In record I didn’t feel the need to buy it but when this livev album came out in 1974 I went out and bought it. Most of the songs from that record were on it. They are backed by a really tight band. There are two longer songs on the record with some nice instrumental work. “Angry Eyes (10 minutes) and “Vahevala”(21 minutes) both have solos on sax, flute, and violin with “Vahevala” going through different moods,at times a little spacey. Although ther is little guitar it’s as good a jam as any Jam Band would do. The drummer and bass player keep up the rhythm throughout. These two songs would make the record great but there are other shorter renditions of their best songs. “Danny’s Song”,”Back To Georgia”,”Trilogy”,”Nobody But You”,and “Golden Ribbons” sound great. One of the better live albums in my opinion. The two records themselves sound really good. No scratchiness on the quiet parts. Most of my original records I bought new sound better than most of the used ones I buy.
