The Legendary Pink Dots are an English/Dutch band working out of Amsterdam since the early 80’s. A very prolific band they have put out over 60 studio and live records. They sound like no one else, combining Psychedelic,Electronic,Industrial,Experimental,Avant- Garde and Ambient music with leader Edward Ka-Spell’s distinctly English “Vocals”. I first bought their Maria Dimension cassette in the mid 90’s knowing nothing about them. I like bands that are different and bought every thing I could find from them,I had ten or twelve of their releases on cassette and CD. They were all sold in 2012. Since then I have bought every vinyl record I could find. All releases from 2011 on up. I haven’t been able to find any of their older stuff on vinyl,probably never released. This one is from 2014,an Italian import. Not something you would listen to at a party or at work. The four songs on this album are typical for them with some parts sounding like The Beatles “Revolution # 9 others like something from Skinny Puppy who Ka-Spell worked with on his Tear Garden side project. The record is on a aqua-marine vinyl.
