Various Artists-Until The End Of The World Original Soundtrack

This was released in 1991. Another one I had on cassette and one of the better ones I had. This first time on vinyl was released in 2017. The two records are on yellow vinyl. Most of the songs were written specifically for the film. There are some good songs by Talking Heads”Sax And Violins”,R.E.M.”Fretless”,andDepeche Mode”Deaths Door”. U2’s “Until The End Of The World is slightly different than the version on their Achtung Baby album. There’s a cool, trippy song with some spoken word by Fred and Patti Smith called “It Takes Time”. As with most movie soundtracks the are some covers and this one has Julee Cruise(I had one of her albums on cassette, not very good) covering an Elvis Presley song and Elvis Costello doing a Kinks song.Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds have a song in his usual spoken word singing and there is also a song by Crime and the City Solution, a band with Bad Seed Mick Harvey in it. There are also four short orchestral pieces by Graeme Revell, featuring some solo cello, spread throughout the four sides that are nice. I have not see this movie but I do have a DVD of it that I downloaded off the internet. Maybe I will watch it sometime and see how these songs fit into the movie.
