Kiss-Double Platinum

I was never a big Kiss guy but when I saw this original pressing from 1978 I had to buy it. It’s in new condition and was in a heavy plastic slipcase when I bought it. It looks like it’s never been played. It still has the Platinum Award paper in it with the owners name written on it. Also inside is a paper to fill out to join the Kiss Army Fan Club. The owner probably bought it when she was young and kept it all these years before parting with it a few years ago when I bought it at a record store. I think I payed $20 for it,a little more than the $12.98 list price printed on the spine. As I said I was never a Kiss fan but I knew all the radio hits like “Hard Luck Woman”,”Beth”,and at some time when I was living at home I owned Dressed to Kill(don’t know what happened to that record) so I knew the three songs from that record. “Detroit Rock City” is one that was on a Kiss tribute album that I used to have. Done by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Kiss’s original version sounds empty without the horns added by The Bosstones. “Do You Love Me” is one I hadn’t heard since the early 70’s while “Calling Doctor Love” and “Hotter Than Hell” are songs I heard on the radio through the years. “Strutter” was on a Warner Brothers compilation album I used to have. The other ten songs I was not familiar with.
