This 1975 release is the last of The Kinks “theatrical” albums after Preservation Acts I and II and Soap Opera. This is about a schoolboy who does some bad things to a girl and is punished by the headmaster. It’s almost something you can see as a musical with “Education” being the big dance number.”Jack The Idiot Dunce” and “The Hard Way” were songs I heard on the radio back then. “No More Looking Back” the last song before the “Finale” is the best song on the record and one of my favorite Kinks songs. I seem to have a soft spot for songs about lost love. This is a re-issue I bought a long time ago,no UPC code so it is from the 70’s..The cover is printed with a logo that says Best Buy Series to the left of the boys head.
