This is a record I bought new in 2016. It’s on orange transparent vinyl. This is very much a Jazz Album with Jazz musicians Wayne Shorter,Brian Blade,John Patitucci,and Lonnie Smith playing on many of the tracks. Most songs were written by her but she does covers by Horace Silver,Duke Ellington,and “Don’t Be Denied” by Neil Young. I like side one best as it has my three favorite songs on it,”Burn”,”Flipside” which I heard played on WXPN a few times and “Don’t Be Denied”. A couple of the songs are more in a Billie Holiday style that I’m not a big fan of. I did get to see part of her set at one of the Merlefests I went to.
