Elton John-11-17-70

This is a live radio concert recorded in New York City, titled 11-17-70 in the U.S. It’s just Elton on piano and vocals and his great rhythm section of Nigel Olsson and Dee Murray. This s a six song record. In 2017 on Record Store Day a two record set was released featuring the entire 13 song performance. Side one starts with “Take Me To The Pilot” followed by a cover of “Honky Tonk Woman”. “Sixty Years On” features some awesome bass by Murray and the last song on the side is “Can I Put You On” from the Friends soundtrack. After “Bad Side Of The Moon” the rest of side two is taken up with an 18 minute “Burn Down The Mission” that includes a long jam with Elton really hammering the piano before ending it with a rousing version of The Beatles “Get Back”. The small audience is very loud throughout the recording. Another used one I bought in 2016 around the time I bought the house I am living in now.
