Jethro Tull-Thick As A Brick

Thick as a Brick according to Ian Anderson was a parody of the concept album and very much a Progressive Rock record. A 43 minute piece over two sides this features mostly folk type music with lots of organ, guitar and flute linking the sections together. An edited portion from side one was played on FM radio. According to the story on the tongue-in-cheek newspaper that is the cover, the lyrics were written by 8 year old Gerald Bostock. The newspaper has articles both inside and outside the cover most humorous in a Monty Python style. Although the lyrics are printed inside it’s hard to tell what it is all about. The album is now considered a Progressive Rock classic. I originally bought the record in the early 70’s while still living at home. This is not it as it has a spot were you can see a price tag has been removed. I don’t remember where this came from.
